THE PREMISE
Good cooking is a good life, three times a day. Setting a theme for my culinary year lets me iterate through many ideas and master specific skills that contribute to being a well-balanced chef.
PROJECTS
2024: Year of the Appetizer
Appetizers are perfect for that quick snack or a special occasion - great so that I can host a great house party.
Signature Dishes: Karaage (Korean Fried Chicken) Sliders, Smoked Salmon Dip, Bruschetta




















2023: The 5 Mother Sauces
Sauces quickly adds flavor to a weeknight dinner. The 5 Mother Sauces in particular form the basis of French cuisine. I was so inspired by them, that I developed the "Mother Sauce Model" for community projects (see Everything Instructions)
Signature Dishes: Bechamel, Veloute, Espagnole, Hollandaise, Sauce Tomate
2022: Year of the Bread
Starting in 2022, I based my cooking around themes. 2022's theme was around bread, and more specifically, types of desserts.
Signature Dishes: Lemon Blueberry Toaster Strudel, Cheesecake, Cream Cheese Danish

Sophomore Year, College
I started improving my cooking skills by inviting friends over to cook with me. Throughout those years, I compiled it into a menu of signature dishes, which I update occasionally.
